Name your dream car.
. Could it be a '69 Mustang Fastback?
A '72 Chevy Camaro?
Or would it be the classic Dukes of Hazzard '69 Dodge Charger?
These are cars, but not only just cars, Muscle Cars. These were the days that Men were men and cars were cars, and men had cars like that. Now cars are mostly designed for the economy. After the fuel crisis back in the 70's we kind of lost the whole masculinity of cars that once were, and will probably never see them like that ever again.
Now with everything being fuel injected and not carbureted and losing all of that raw power and force. I cant drive down the road anymore and not see a car the doesn't have the words Eco or Fuel Saver somewhere posted on the car. Now, don't give me wrong, being a college student I'm all for saving a little bit of gas. Which of course means saving a bit of money. But, when I'm 40 and rich and can afford to spend that little bit of money to fill up the tank more then I should, I will. I wont be caught dead driving a Toyota Prius anytime soon or ever. The other day I was driving down the interstate minding my own and a Prius came up behind me and tries to pass me. And as the good ole redneck driving my 02 Chevy Silverado I was not going to have that.
For all of you that aren't sure what a Prius is here ya go.
And for the rest that are wondering what kind of truck I drive. Like a Rock.
Anyways back to my point. Have we lost the manliness of our cars? The coolness of Danny Zuko from Grease in his Grease lighting car? Is the brute manliness hidden somewhere and I cant see it.
That's for you to decide
And I hope you decide right.
Buy American.
